HOMEMADE LASAGNA NOODLES

Holidays such as day of the week is the ideal time to chat with the family. If you want to spend time with family at home, cooking may be quite enjoyable entertainment. My mother and my brothers tried to make homemade, "Lasagna Noodles" is quite interesting in my opinion.

The materials used is quite simple. Fresh pasta sheets may be more comfortable for all types of the dry lasagna. But, for all the regions have not found it, there are some areas that are difficult to get fresh pasta sheets. But we can find a way to make it yourself. Usually I use the flour to make a lasagna noodles.

I watched my mother rolled up sheets of fresh dough while a large pot of boiling red sauce scented home. Mother cut the meat from the sauce and layer it between thin sheets of pasta, along with creamy ricotta and mozzarella, to make lasagna with his hands. He pulled hot and bubbling from the oven, and my brothers and I would scramble around the kitchen table, waiting for cold dishes so that we could cut into it. The first bite is always reminded of how delicious homemade lasagna is satisfying sweet potato, savory from the cheese, and soft from handmade pasta.

Ingredients:

                Lasagna Nodles:
                - 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
                - 6 eggs
                - 1 teaspoon salt
                - 6 tablespoons water(room temperature)

                Lasagna:
                - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
                - 1/2 teaspoon salt
                - 1/2 teaspoon papper
                - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
                - 32 oz. ricotta
                - 2 eggs
                - 2 cups mozzarella, shredded (devided)
                - 1 1/2 cups grated parmesan, devided
                - 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
                - 1/4 teaspoon salt
                - 1/4 teaspoon papper
                - fresh lasagna noodles (above) or 1 box of lasagna noodles
                - 24 oz. pasta sauce

Instructions:

   Lasagna Noodles

1. In a food processor combine all ingredients and pulse untill all ingredients are combined. Removed dough from processor and knead untill you can form a ball. set aside and let rest for about 30 minutes.
2. place dough on clean, lighty floured surface. Roll out with rolling pin untill desired thickness. Trim rough edges and cut into equal 1 1/2 inch wide (or desired width) strips. gather unused dough and edges, knead and roll out. Cut into additional strips.
3. Set fresh noodles asside on wax papper untill ready to use
   Prepare Lasagna
4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
5. In a large skillet on medium high heat combine ground beef, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon papper and garlic powder and cook throughly. Remove from heat and stir in pasta sauce untill combined and set aside
6. In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, eggs, 1 cup parmesan, parsley flakes, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper and stir untill blended.
7. In an equal 9" x 13" pan spread 1 cup of meat and pasta sauce mixture. Top with one layer of lasagna noodles. On top with one layer of lasagna noodle spread 2 1/4 cup ricotta mixture, followed by 1 cup of sauce and another layer of noodles.Top with remaining ricotta mixture , followed by remaining noodles and last layer of sauce. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
8. Remove foil, top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese and bake for about 10 minutes.
9. Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes.
